Introduction to Meditation

Not sure where to get started? Then this is the perfect place to begin.

This is a lovely one-day course that is gentle, mindful and relaxing. You will be introduced to a selection of meditations that will help you to transform your life for the better. Each meditation will be explained, led and gentle guidance will be given on how to develop a lifelong practice, and how to avoid the pitfalls and barriers to getting the most from it.

There will be time to discuss your experiences with us, and/ or the other members of the group. We will also explore the challenges of modern life, health issues, emotional and physical pain. You can get involved with these discussions, or just listen. And, of course, there will also be tea!

This course is aimed at everyone and we generally recommend completing this course before joining the regular weekly meditation sessions.

Check out our Bookings Page for the next Introduction Day.

Regulars’ Sit

Buddhists have found the secret of success in mindfulness. They refer to it as their “sangha”, to us in the west it is just a group of friends who share the same likes and desires. Everyone knows it easier to stick at something as part of a group. Our regular weekly sit is exactly that! A chance to meditate with friends and to learn from others.

Anyone is welcome to join once they have completed the “Introduction to Meditation” course or has experience meditating.

Mindfulness for Schools

Being a student is harder than ever at the present. Ongoing pressures of homework, tests and exams are creating rising levels of anxiety and stress for students of all ages.

It has been proven that a regular practice of meditation and mindful movement can have tremendous benefits for stress relief and happiness. In schools where a mindful approach has been introduced, students have also benefited from increased self esteem, creativity and an ability of concentrate.

Being teachers ourselves, we have seen these benefits develop with our school students. Interested to hear more about our work in schools? Drop us an email
